KA BRU Brazil is formed by two properties preciously located on the Península de Maraú, in Bahia. The vegetation of the Atlantic rain forest weaving the landscape along practically untouched beaches, the beauty of Rio das Contas and Cassange Lagoon, the receptivity of the locals and the incomparable flavors of organic products only found there seem to be living proof that Tupã really was in his best mood when he shaped this region.

KA BRU Beach

Located close to the village of Barra Grande, KA BRU Beach is an intimate beachfront Boutique Hotel nestled at the entrance of stunning Camamu Bay, one of Brazil’s great natural wonders.

Representing the best in contemporary Brazilian tropical decor, each of the hotel’s six designer rooms feature private terraces where guests can enjoy breath-taking panoramic views over the Bay of Camamu in peaceful solitude. In-room relaxation massages, gorgeous tropical gardens and a stylish, intimate lounge pool bar and restaurant provide the perfect ingredients for an unforgettably romantic getaway.

At KA BRU Beach, guests are treated to a delicious and healthy breakfast sourced from local organic products and prepared according to tasty local recipes. Our lounge restaurant-bar offers a wide range of seasonal drinks, snacks and tropical flavours of Brazil, all happily tailored to suit our client’s wishes.

While KA BRU Beach is undoubtedly a stylish destination in a stunning location, what really sets us apart from the crowd is our uniquely personal, home-from-home approach. For example: KA BRU Beach hotel does not have a reception desk: upon arrival, guests are personally greeted in our welcoming and informal living room-style reception area. This personal and familiar approach reflects the essence of the KA BRU Beach experience – we want you to feel like you’ve come home, but to a home where every possible wish is catered for, and every worry is left at the door.

We welcome all guests with refreshing hand towels, chilled coconut water and, naturally, a traditional Caipirinha.

KABRU Beach offers six rooms in the following categories. Pool level: two seaside sunset view suites. First floor: two luxury suites with garden view, one mini loft with spectacular walk in bathroom. Top floor: penthouse suite with panoramic views over the Bay of Camamu.

KA BRU 1100

In November 2022 our latest addition opened its doors with a different approach: a pop-up boutique hotel surrounded by the ocean on one side and the tropical lagoon of Cassange on the other, welcoming guests for exactly 1.100 nights. Guests will be able to indulge themselves in a highlighted KA BRU experience, available only for three years. Likewise the main Beach Hotel, it will be offering six spacious rooms, some of them with privileges like dazzling 360 degrees panoramic view or direct access to the sea. White greek walls encounter fine brazilian wood to create a contemporary, minimalistic clean design.

The property will be counting on a brand new restaurant with high Bahia gastronomy. A perfect combination to harmonize with good wine, among a fireplace by the beach to appreciate the moon at night. The sea here can be more appealing to surfers, so one of the services provided will be surf lessons. Barbecues by the beach combined with the distinguished flavor of acarajé will set the tone for joyful days in this sunny paradise.

Peninsula de Marau

Thanks to its unique location, the Peninsula of Marau is largely undeveloped and has many peaceful seaside villages just waiting to be discovered, along with endless pristine beaches, tropical forests, rivers, and ecological preserves. The beaches on the ocean side of the peninsula are the longest, and offer the best surf. At low tide, their coral reefs create natural swimming pools for calmer waters. On the side the peninsula faces Camamu Bay, where the water is calm and countless islands and waterways punctuate the seascape.

Climate

With approximately 300 sunny days per year and an average temperature of 28°C, the climate in the Maraú Peninsula is always warm and welcoming.

SUMMER:

Summertime, between December and March, has the sunniest weather with temperatures around 30 degrees during daytime and 25 at night. And, with cooling summer breezes coming from the beach, it doesn’t get uncomfortably hot.

WINTER:

The months between May and August, is wet season in the south of Bahia, and therefore more variable, with a higher risk of rain and wind. But don’t let that put you off: there’s still plenty of beautiful summery days.

Daytime temperatures stay at a comfortable 22-28°C, dropping down to 18-24°C at night.
